Tax and Customs Duties

Rates of Duty

UK and European Community Member States - VAT applies
Goods that are purchased by a client WITHIN the UNITED KINGDOM or one of the European Community Member States, is subject to Value Added Tax (VAT).
Current rate of UK VAT applied is 17.5%.

Export - TAX FREE purchase
For goods exported to any country OUTWITH the European Community, Value Added Tax (VAT) is not applied, and is 'zero rated'. However, goods may be subject to 'duty' or 'customs fees' at the port of entry, in accordance with their classification under the terms of the customs regulations of that country.

Liability for Duties
There are no provisions under which we may prepay duties or taxes before exportation. Liability for the payment of duty therefore, as normal, becomes the obligation of the person or firm in whose name the entry is filed - the purchaser/addressee.
